about

Irish artist Anodyne returns to Acroplane following releases with Skam and Analogical Force with Decay - a darkrave colossus that is likely his most explosive release since his 2010 LP, Corrosion.

This is the first of a series of releases on Acroplane that will be released on physical formats as well as the usual digital files. For this release 150 copies will be available on audio cassette.

A small number of t-shirts are available for purchase too.

All tracks by Colin Cloughley 2020.

"anodyne’s Decay LP is a journey into the dark heart of the party. From start to finish this is a brooding and sometimes rather tortured set which, even though it still brings dancefloor heat on every track, feels like it is constantly at war with itself. anodyne skews towards the more stern and foreboding end of club sonics here - the influence of Surgeon and Scorn is felt throughout, as are the anarcho-dub aesthetics of The Bug, and there are also nods to the malevolent end of breakbeat. At times all of this becomes too much for Decay to bear and the beats collapse in on themselves, as they do on the ominous synthscape centerpiece ‘Everybody Dies’." - Bleep.com
